Doctor Of Osteopathy/ Remedial Massage Therapist - Johannes Maehrlein
Johannes Maehrlein is an enthusiastic practitioner of natural and manual therapies. He holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage (Victoria University), a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine; RMIT) and a double-bachelor degree of Health Science/ Applied Science (Osteopathy) from RMIT University.
Since his childhood, Johannes has had a keen curiosity for the workings of the human body. Growing up in Germany, he developed strong ties to the old northern European natural medicine philosophies.
After completing high school, Johannes spent a social-service year working as a paramedic in northern Germany and decided to pursue a career in medicine. Through a twist of fate and following a serious motorbike accident, he discovered Osteopathy during his rehabilitation period and knew that he had found his calling.
He has worked in a number of clinics over Melbourne’s suburbs, has taught myotherapy at Kangan Tafe, operates a modern natural medicine clinic in Firtzroy North and is passionate about educating and empowering people to find their way back to their optimum health.
Johannes has a special interest in nutrition and the treatment of chronic ailments and successfully treats postural and life-style related musculo-skeletal conditions.
