Doctor Of Chinese Medicine - Lauren Curtain
Lauren is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, completing a 4 year Bachelor of Health Science specialising in Chinese Medicine at the Southern School of Natural Therapies in Melbourne.
She is registered with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board and a member of AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association).
Lauren has a strong passion for Chinese Medicine and tailors treatments specifically for each patient.
Her techniques include a combination of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, Tui Na (Chinese Remedial Massage).
Lauren provides treatments for a wide variety of conditions and has a special interest in treating women’s health and mental health issues.
Doctor of Chinese Medicine - Georgina Barrow
Georgina Barrow is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and a registered Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist and Herbal Dispenser.
Her qualification enables her to utilise a combination of Western and Chinese Medicine knowledge to effectively treat a wide variety of conditions. Georgina has a keen interest in women's health, fertility and menopause support. She also has a particular interest and experience in helping people with psycho-emotional issues and their associated conditions such as insomnia and chronic fatigue. In addition, she has experience in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, visual and digestive disorders.
Coming from a corporate background, Georgina became interested in complementary medicine as a preventative tool after seeing many colleagues afflicted by stress and work-induced health issues. She believes in disease prevention and health promotion through proactive health management and lifestyle adaptation.
Georgina graduated with Distinction, completing a 5 year double degree in Applied Science (Human Biology/Chinese Medicine) from RMIT University. In addition, she completed a residential clinical internship at a major hospital in Nanjing, China. She is a registered practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Doctor of Chinese Medicine - Stephen Pate
Stephen Pate is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and registered Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner. He has completed a 5 year double degree of Applied Science (Human Biology/Chinese Medicine) from RMIT University and also a 6 month residential clinical internship in a major hospital in Nanjing, China.
He practised in the USA for 2 years and then in 2 clinics in Melbourne before relocating to the Mornington Peninsula in 2008 and has been operating Peninsula Acupuncture & Natural Medicine since then.
He is passionate about using Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in treating pain management conditions, fertility support including IVF support and conditions experienced during pregnancy. He also has fantastic results treating allergies, colds and flu, headaches and migraines, stress, insomnia and gastrointestinal conditions.
Doctor of Chinese Medicine - Janette Panaccio
Janette is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and a registered Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner. She has completed a 5 year double degree of Applied Science (Human Biology/Chinese Medicine) from RMIT University and an internship at Nanjing TCM University.
She has had a lifelong interest in Chinese Medicine and in addition to practicing at Peninsula Acupuncture & Natural Medicine, Janette also works at other TCM clinics, including Community Health Centres in Collingwood and Geelong. She deals with general medical needs, predominantly focusing on musculoskeletal conditions such as lower back pain, shoulder and neck, elbow and wrist injuries.
Janette has a special interest in assisting women undertaking IVF programs and treating pregnancy related matters such as musculoskeletal discomfort, breech positions and inductions. Her care continues postnatal, dealing with mastitis, poor lactation and depression.
Doctor Of Chinese Medicine - Allana Bould
Allana is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and is a fully registered Acupucnturist and Chinese Herbalist.
Having grown up on a mostly self-sufficient acreage on the Mornington Peninsula, Allana knew the value of a natural lifestyle from a very early age. Allana was then personally drawn towards Chinese Medicine theories during her early twenties when whilst working under a Chinese herbalist in Melbourne.
After a career spanning 12 years as a Remedial Massage Therapist, Allana decided to complete a degree in Chinese Medicine at the Southern School of Natural Medicine in Fitzroy and is excited to continue sharing her passion for Chinese Medicine.
Having been drawn to Chinese Medicine for many years now, Allana feels Chinese Medicine is essential for supporting good health at any age. Allana now aims to blend the best information from the ancient Chinese culture with current scientific evidence that applies to our modern environment and lifestyle to get the best results.
Allana has a particular interest in Mental health, Digestive disorders and Womens Health.
